ReconVis WorkstationReconstruction and Visualization in One
ReconVis is a single integrated solution that delivers high performance 3D visualization with fast CT image reconstruction on a Windows XP™ based workstation. The ReconVis workstation consists of two multi-XTrillion processor image reconstruction boards, CBR software, one VolumePro real-time 3D volume rendering card, and i-View visualization software to provide reconstruction and visualization technology in one platform. ReconVis processes a stream of X-ray projections coming from the X-ray acquisition system to deliver volumetric 3D CT images or 2D CT slices. TeraRecon’s XTrillion processors begin processing the acquired projections simultaneously at the start of the scanning process. After reconstruction ends, the processed slices automatically transfer into the i-View workstation’s database. At the end of this transfer, the user is able to view a complete series of 2D CT slices or 3D volumetric image, and can perform analysis using the i-View software's CT imaging tools for inspecting defects or suspected regions of failure. ReconVis can be configured as an in-line (reconstruction during scanning process) or an off-line (reconstruction with stored raw CT data) workstation depending on the user’s preference. The ReconVis workstation can be integrated with a variety of X-ray cone beam CT acquisition systems and it provides a complete package of 3D CT imaging capabilities.
