Press ReleasesTeraRecon Introduces AquariusNET VLE and EliteAccess™ Workflow Technology at RSNA San Mateo, CA--November 21, 2005: At the 91st annual Radiological Society of North America meeting at McCormick Place, Chicago, TeraRecon announces the introduction of the AquariusNET VLE, the most powerful true enterprise-class 3D server available, capable of reconstructing up to 30,000 images concurrently with real-time performance. The AquariusNET VLE rendering engine consists of quadruple 4 Gigabyte TeraRecon VolumePro™ 1000 rendering boards. This new more powerful 3D server is designed to meet the rapidly increasing demands for 3D post-processing by large integrated hospital networks where extreme capacity and performance are required. TeraRecon also introduces EliteAccess™, which is used to combine the AquariusNET thin-client with the advanced Aquarius Workstation to greatly increase radiology reading efficiency and enhance workflow. EliteAccess™ provides access to both streamlined workflow-optimized tools and high-end workstation applications through the convenience of the single AquariusNET thin-client user interface. The AquariusNET Server solution delivers distributed 3D visualization capabilities throughout an entire hospital or group of hospitals by simply connecting to the facilities’ network. To activate 3D functionality, users download a small thin-client application from the server to any number of PC systems, located anywhere from physician reading rooms to surgical suites. The AquariusNET Server may also be accessed from outside the hospital using VPN over broadband Internet or a WAN connection. Robert Taylor, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer of TeraRecon said, "Every day, physicians need to review more volumetric studies in more locations, and in an ever-decreasing amount of time. New technologies such as the AquariusNET VLE Server and EliteAccess™ deliver unmatched processing power enterprise-wide with convenient access to the full range of advanced clinical applications. Through this combination of innovations introduced at RSNA 2005, TeraRecon continues to deliver best-in-class 3D workflow without compromise on performance or functionality.” About TeraRecon: Contact:
