Industry Leading PACS Vendors Integrate AquariusNET

San Mateo, CA--November 10, 2004: TeraRecon announces the integration of its AquariusNET image-processing server with several leading PACS (Picture Archival & Communications Systems) vendors. These PACS vendors include Agfa, AMICAS, Sectra, Delft Diagnostic Imaging (ROGAN-Delft), and Intelerad Medical Systems. The AquariusNET server provides a very simple interface that allows PACS vendors to provide their customers a common-worklist integration with minimal effort. The integration of workflow-optimized 3D tools within the diagnostic workflow provides PACS users intuitive access to real-time 3D, MIP, and MPR tools that are launched directly from the PACS software with a single button click or menu selection.

At RSNA 2004, the integration of the AquariusNET server for Agfa’s IMPAX® Enterprise Suite PACS and AMICAS’ Vision Series Web-based PACS will be demonstrated in TeraRecon’s booth. Agfa and AMICAS each plan to demonstrate their PACS integration with the AquariusNET server in their RSNA booths.

PACS reading stations and standard PCs are empowered by the AquariusNET server to rapidly load and interactively manipulate large MDCT volume datasets in real-time. The AquariusNET server utilizes TeraRecon’s interactive streaming technology to deliver diagnostic 2D, 3D, and 4D to radiology departments and the clinical enterprise beyond. Radiologists use AquariusNET’s client software for fast 3D problem solving, interactive MIPs and MPRs, and for capturing representative images and clips for physicians. Meanwhile, referring physicians themselves can be given access to the thin-client tools for simple access to multi-modality images, direct access to 3D visualization for planning and follow-up, and for illustrative purposes in clinics.
